DESCRIPTION:
French mantel clock for Ch. Levassort, in the Louis XV style, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in an ornate ormolu case with floral decor and white enamel dial, the main case with an integral base, c1880
CONDITION:
there is wear to gilding on bronze case, mostly on high areas. The rear glass cover for the movement is now painted white. Porcelain enamel dial is very good and with signature of the retailer remaining, fancy hands are original. Overall very good to excellent cond. Ht 18"
